Have the peace of mind that your machines and your operations are warranty-protected when you refurbish your processing equipment with VFE.

There’s more to a warranty than first meets the eye. Not all warranties are created equal.

Most refurbishment services come with warranties of some kind, as do any refurbished units you buy to add to your site. If not, you should look for a supplier or manufacturer elsewhere.

  • But what are the terms of those warranties?
  • How long do they last?
  • What exactly do they cover?

Understanding the terms and conditions of the warranties on offer can help you to choose the best supplier or dealer for your operations and better protect your production.

Read on to find out what refurbishing warranties we offer at VFE and how you will benefit.

VFE’s refurbishment warranties explained

At VFE, we offer extended warranties of up to two years for all of our ServiceCare customers (customers on a service contract with us) for any refurbishment work we carry out on your machines or refurbished processing equipment units bought from us as standard.

This is the same warranty coverage we offer for new equipment bought from us and it includes all the hardware and machine components in its coverage.

Five year warranties

In the past, we have been able to offer five-year warranties on new hot zones. It could be possible to extend the same level of coverage for refurbished hot zones to customers with a ServiceCare contract in place — if this is of interest to you, get in touch with us today.

Why do you only offer warranties for customers with service contracts?

As a service-first company with a commitment to delivering quality and consistency across everything we do, our ServiceCare contracts and the various planned, preventative maintenance we offer are the best ways we’re able to look after our customers, improve their businesses, and keep their operations running.

A big part of this is routinely servicing and maintaining your machines so your production never fails and you never need to use your warranties in the first place

Most warranties actually require the routine servicing and maintenance of machines to remain valid, promoting best practice and regulatory compliance across your operations. Ours are the same, helping to ensure quality and keep downtime to a minimum.

Finally, no one will know your machines better than their engineers. Through routine inspection, they’ll be the first person to catch premature failure and recommend parts or machines for refurbishment/reconditioning through your detailed service report.

For all these reasons and more, your warranties and ServiceCare agreement go hand in hand.

We’ve written a lot recently about the benefits of refurbishing your processing equipment. (Yes, professionally refurbished equipment is just as reliable as equipment bought new.)

Refurbishing your existing equipment will cost you less money up front and, crucially right now, it can save you big in the long-term on your energy bills, too. (You can easily save 10% on your energy bill by refurbishing your hot zone, for example.)

Our extended warranties — and the servicing and maintenance underpinning them — are really the icing on the cake when it comes to looking after your operations.

Imagine taking the plunge and upgrading some of your site’s processing equipment, only to find out when the part has broken and production has halted that there’s no safety net.

When investing in any kind of equipment or aftercare service for your site with VFE, you know that your purchase, and by extension your operations as a whole, are protected.
